OGP UK has expanded its extensive product range with the addition of the OGP Starlite 150, a new, affordable, non-contact video measuring machine, which is ideal for gauging small parts.
The semi-automatic bench top system, priced at £9,560, includes a raft of standard features designed to produce fast, accurate data and boost the efficiency of a wide variety of inspection tasks.
The Starlite 150 incorporates OGP’s intuitive Gage-X metrology software and a userfriendly graphical interface that make it easy and quick to create complete inspection programs.
In addition, the system’s powerful series of editing tools allow users to update routines at the touch of a button while images can be stored at varying magnifications for visual inspection records.
According to OGP, the Starlite 150 sets itself apart from other competitor machines thanks to a combination of superior optics and patented LED illumination. Its programmable, motorised 6.5:1 zoom lens delivers clear-cut images that remain in focus and on-axis throughout its magnification range of 34x-176x.
OGP’s VectorLight LED white lights provide an unrivalled level of detail and contrast by pinpointing light from an infinite number of directions to detect exactly the correct features of a part.
The machine’s measuring area of 150 x 75 x 125mm is adjusted via a pair of coaxial coarse/fine XY knobs while the Z motion button is mounted on the front of the system for easy part positioning and focus.
“This low-cost yet high-performance machine means a non-contact measurement capability is now within reach of almost any manufacturer. It offers remarkable value-formoney and its compact size ensures it doesn’t need much space,” commented Charlotte Anderson, OGP UK’s marketing executive.
The new machine has expanded OGP’s Starlite range, which comprises two other larger models, the 200 and 250E.
