SmartScope MVP 400 / 600 / 620 / 700 SmartScope MVP is a cost effective video non-contact measuring machine with the functionality to operate as a multi-sensor system by combining video and touch probe. MVP systems are ideal for customers that produce differing components in small to medium batch quantities.
SmartScope MVP machines are capable of operating in manual or fully automatic modes.
Operation is sequenced via Basic-X™, intuitive, fully featured metrology software. Operators simply select the features to be measured and optimise the video image using the machine’s inbuilt zoom optics and patented LED SmartRing illumination. The machine then automatically detects feature size, position and form.
Tolerance information can be added and used in conjunction with the measured data to produce an inspection report which can be printed or stored in digital format. In addition the collected data can be used for Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Inspection sequences are recorded ‘on the fly’ to create fully automatic routines that control inspection steps, magnification and lighting to ensure that subsequent components are measured accurately, repeatably and without subjectivity. Component images can easily be collected and stored in a variety of formats for visual defect analysis. Accurate depth measurements can also be made using OGP’s advanced auto-focus technology.
Optional touch trigger probes can be added to the MVP to provide multi-sensor capability. Each sensor can be automatically called as required and used in the same inspection routine without the need for manual intervention. This functionality delivers an amazing amount of flexibility ensuring most inspection tasks can be easily performed in just one setup.
