A pair of video measuring systems specially designed to gauge small parts with nanometre accuracy will form the centrepiece of OGP UK’s stand at B16.
As well as demonstrating the versatile capabilities of a OGP SmartScope Flash 200 video measuring machine, OGP’s stand will also include a SmartScope CNC 250 equipped with a white light probe, showing how micro components with fine, complex translucent features are easily and rapidly measured.
The sensor is used to provide a broad bandwidth light source and works in conjunction with a spectrometer to gather a large amount of data by measuring the highest intensity light wavelength in focus at the workpiece’s surface.
High levels of accuracy are achieved as the CNC 250, like the Flash 200 model, incorporates a patented AccuCentric 12:1 zoom lens with an automatic, self-calibrating facility, and series of SmartRing LED white lights which exactly detect the component’s features by pinpointing light from an infinite number of directions.
