SmartScope ZIP 400/600 High Speed Multi-Sensor Measurement System
SmartScope® ZIP systems are high speed, multi-sensor measuring machines with the functionality to combine Video, Touch, Laser, White Light and Feather probes. ZIP machines are ideal for applications where the need for flexibility is paramount and inspection has to be rapid.
Measurements can be made both manually and in fully automatic modes. Operation is sequenced via MeasureMind 3D™ which is intuitive, fully featured three dimensional multi-sensor metrology software.
Sophisticated, patented, illuminations sources such as the white light LED SmartRing™ is capable of pinpointing light from a multitude of different angles to ensure clarity of image, critical for repeatable and reproducible measurement.

SmartScope ZIP Functionality During measurement, operators simply select the items to be measured, optimise the video and the SmartScope® will automatically detect the feature’s size, position and form. Tolerance information can be added and used in conjunction with the measured data to produce an inspection report which can be printed or stored in digital format. In addition the collected data can be used for Statistical Process Control (SPC)
SmartScope® ZIP systems are also equipped with sophisticated AccuCentric™ auto-calibrating zoom optics. This patented technology allows measurements to be taken throughout the zoom range without any degradation in accuracy and is ideal for making highly accurate, non-contact, Z measurements.
Inspection sequences are recorded ‘on the fly’ to create fully automatic routines that control inspection steps, magnification and lighting to ensure that subsequent components are measured accurately, repeatably and without subjectivity.
Component images can easily be collected and stored at varying degrees of magnification and in a variety of formats for visual defect analysis.
Optional probes can be added to the ZIP to provide fully integrated multi-sensor capability. Each sensor can be called as required and used in the same inspection routine without the need for manual intervention. This functionality delivers an amazing amount of flexibility, ensuring most inspection tasks can be easily performed in just one setup. Product SpecificationMeasuring Range 400 (X,Y,Z)
