OGP SmartRing Illumination

Good quality illumination is important for accurate video measurement.

SmartRing illuminators from OGP improve image contrast so that rounded edges, chamfers and low contrast features are easily measured.

Smart Ring lights are configured as concentric rings of LEDs selectable in 45 degree sectors.

The inner rings illuminate the part from above, almost “square-on”. The outer rings provide oblique lighting, ideal for chamfered edges and blended radii. By selecting different rings, you control the angle of incidence of the illumination of any application.

Changing sectors varies the direction of the light and since the light is supplied by high intensity LEDs illumination changes are instantaneous.   Selection of rings lets you change the illumination angle of incidence.

Uniquely OGPs SmartRing features a Fresnel lens that pinpoints light onto the specified surface enabling the user to leave unwanted edges unlit.
