Their core expertise lies in the measurement and inspection of objects and components, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and quality.

An instrumental factor contributing to Verus’s remarkable success is their longstanding partnership with OGP UK, a widely recognised leading supplier of advanced multi-sensor metrology solutions.

This invaluable collaboration has played a pivotal role in empowering Verus to accelerate their clients’ new products, enabling faster time-to-market while upholding uncompromising quality standards.

Project Brief:

Verus Metrology aims to provide the best, and most accurate measurement solutions to their customers. Their focus is on utilising advanced optical, laser, and tactile sensors to tackle even the most intricate measurement tasks with exceptional precision and speed.

Jon Banner, UK Operations Director for Verus, said:

“We’ve used OGP UK right from day one and the majority of our key clients also have OGP’s. We’ve found that it was a no-brainer – the optics, I believe, are the best in class.

The Benefits:

Incorporating OGP UK’s cutting-edge technologies into their processes, Verus eliminates the need for multiple traditional measuring systems, streamlining operations and saving valuable time.

OGP UK technology offers unparalleled capabilities in collecting detailed data and swiftly gauging the characteristics of even the most intricate components. Its reliability and speed surpass any other alternatives in the market by facilitating seamless interaction between operatives and measurement systems, reducing scrap, minimising rework, and boosting throughput. With reduced factory downtime, parts are consistently produced correctly on the first attempt, ensuring optimal efficiency in manufacturing processes.

“With optical measurement, if you can see something you can measure it. We often find that the accuracy can comfortably be sub-micron,” said Jon.

OGP UK’s experienced metrology engineers continue to support Verus Metrology Partners, training and servicing their machines regularly.

“We rely on OGP UK support for the training of our apprentices and less experienced metrology engineers, purely because their expertise is first-class,” said Jon.

“We also have support contracts with our machines. I know they’re reliable, I’ve no issue with that, but we find that having the official calibration and servicing twice yearly helps to maintain that.”
